Obituary

Hoffman, Owen F., 90, Johnstown, passed away August 18, 2021 at home. Born June 19, 1931 in South Fork. Preceded in death by parents, William and Minnie (Wirick) Hoffman. Owen was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Survived by wife of 65 years, Joanne Hoffman; sons, Jeffrey (Gerry) Hoffman, Richard (Roxanne) Hoffman, and David (Michelle) Hoffman, all of Johnstown; daughters, Karen (Lawrence) Conway of Latrobe, and Krystal Hoffman of OH. Also survived by 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Owen proudly served our country in the U.S. Army, was a Korean War Veteran and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and fishing with his friends. He was always quick with a joke to make everyone laugh. Owen was a rare combination of someone who had a love for life and the understanding of what is important – the simplicity of living a life with those you love. He will be greatly missed. At the request of the family, services will be private. Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Franklin Fire Co. EMT’s for their caring service to Owen and family.
