Obituary

Holsopple, Paul Eugene, 76, Stoystown, passed away peacefully May 27, 2019 at his home surrounded by family. Born April 22, 1943 to the late Oscar and Beatrice (Grush) Holsapple. Paul married Harriet Gordon in 1973. In Paul’s early years he was a volunteer fire fighter, worked on the farm, and later at Somerset Hospital. He enjoyed reading, the Bible, fishing, baking, watching YouTube trucking and train videos, and spending time with friends and family. Paul had a great sense of humor and never let cancer get him down. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Harriet Holsopple; and great grandson, William McIntyre Jr. Survived by children, Michelle Morano and husband Pete, New Jersey; Robert Holsopple, Stoystown; Anna Holsopple and David Munford, Johnstown; Corie Holsopple and Kenneth Hawkins, Somerset; friend, Kathy Grebeck, Stoystown; 9 grandchildren, Brandy, David, Victoria, Robert, Becky, Bobby, Abby, Jason, and Hope; and 3 great grandchildren, Layla, Bowen, and Billy. A memorial service will be held at Somerset Christian Fellowship on Sunday, June 9th at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Somerset Christian Fellowship.
