Obituary

Raymond Timothy Phillips born April 6, 1941, in Altoona, passed into the arms of the Lord on March 15, 2025. His heart was full of love and tenderness for family, friends, and those who knew him felt his kindness. A gentleman who lived life, lots of laughter, and was able to persevere through health issues without complaining. He was so happy to have a successful kidney transplant through the VA system. He had faith in God and thanked him for each new day. Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Malcom Phillips; and mother, Larue (Galentine) Phillips. Pauline Galentine was a second mother who raised him when Larue passed on. Shirley (Butler) Phillips, his first love; brother, William Francis; infant sister, Helen Pauline; infant brother Malcom Richard; and brother, Jerry Ridenour also preceded him in death. He was survived by his wife, Deborah M. (Boring) Phillips, sharing happiness and lots of LOVE; his sons, Timothy and wife, Kelly, Chris and wife, Patricia; stepson, Donald Hritz and wife, Stacy; grandchildren, Carley, Cassidy, Morgan Layfield and Bryce, Miranda, Cailin Davis and Tyler, Jacob, and Adam; great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Dawsyn, Avereigh, and John Barret. He will be missed deeply but the happy memories of him live forever! A private committal service will be held at Grandview.
