Obituary
Stiffler, Rebecca Rose, 65, Johnstown, died April 10, 2014 at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born February 14, 1949 in Johnstown; daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Boyle) Engbert. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Abigail Stiffler; brothers, Frances, Henry, James, Paul and Thomas; sisters, Bertha, Catherine and Susan; brother-in-law, Bill Burns; and sister-in-law, Emma (DeRubis) Engbert.
Survived by husband, James E. Stiffler, sons, Jim Jr. married to Jennifer (Freidhoff); Rodney Stiffler; Gregory Stiffler, married to Christina (Parisi); Douglas Stiffler, married to Carey (Carmel); Thomas Stiffer, married to Angela (Pingatore), all of Johnstown; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kaitlyn, Jaden, Hailey, Madalyn, Maria, Makenzie, Joshua, Julia, Nathan, Allison, Tommy and Maggie; brother, John Engbert, married to Cleo, Cleveland, OH; sisters, Mary Ella, married to Jim Killen, Indiana; Barbara, married to John Marhefka, St. Clairsville, OH; and Agnes Burns, Johnstown; brothers-in-law, Ted Hofecker, Homer City and Martin Kochjar, Philadelphia; sister-in-law, Judy (Stoy) Engbert, Windber and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rebecca was a devout Catholic and lifelong member of Ss. Gregory and Barnabas Parish. She adored her family and enjoyed playing pinochle with them. The biggest love of her life was her grandchildren. She was a Cub Scout den mother and a baseball mom for East Suburban Little League. Friends received Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. 1521 Frankstown Rd. Funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 am at Ss. Gregory and Barnabas Church, Rev. Robert Ruston, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
