Obituary

Rick E. Reighard, 58, passed away at home surrounded by his family on July 18, 2026. Born on April 17, 1968. Rick lived a life marked by hard work, dedication to family, and loyalty to the people he loved.

Rick is the son of the late Ralph E. Reighard and Donna J. Evans, who survives him and is married to George Evans. He was a loving brother to Annette M. Schrock (husband Dan Schrock); and Robyn J. Schenk (husband Bill Schenk).

Above all else, Rick cherished his family. He was a devoted father to Haley M. Reighard and her significant other, Thomas Jones; Tyler Reighard and his wife, Madison Reighard; and daughter Laylah Reighard.  He was also blessed with a bonus daughter, Stephanie Punchak, and her children Dominic, Ariana, Dawson, and Benny who held a special place in his heart. Rick was a proud and loving grandfather to Ashtyn, Oliver, and Elliot, who brought him immense joy and were among his greatest blessings.

Rick is preceded in death by his beloved son, Colte A. Reighard. The love he carried for Colte never faded, and those who knew Rick understood how deeply that bond remained a part of him throughout his life.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Rick spent many years as a Foreman at Toma Metals, where he earned the respect of coworkers through his leadership, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence. He concluded his career at Lightning Metals, where he continued to demonstrate the same dedication and pride in his work that defined him throughout his life.

He enjoyed spending time with his family on Sundays, whether it was watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, or beating everyone in cornhole.

Rick will be remembered for his generous heart, infectious sense of humor, and unwavering willingness to help others. He valued family above all else and found happiness in spending time with those he loved. Whether sharing stories, offering advice, or simply being present when someone needed him; Rick left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Though his passing leaves a tremendous void, his legacy of love, resilience, and devotion will live on through his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. The memories he created and the lives he touched will be cherished forever.

Rick’s family finds comfort in knowing that while he is no longer by their side, he will forever remain in their hearts.

Family and friends will be received Thursday July 23^rd from 4 p.m. until time of service at 6 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. Rev. Toby Holland, officiating.
