Obituary

Popovich, Robert A., 46, Johnstown, died February 5, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center.  Born January 7, 1972 in Johnstown.  Preceded in death by grandparents, Mary and Anthony Popovich and H. Dwain Gahagen.  Survived by parents, Frank and Joan (Gahagen) Popovich; maternal grandmother, Pearl Gahagen; his wife & anchor, his “Dolls”, Rebecca A. Sabo-Shriver; children, Seth and Mason Popovich; Eric Huss (Chelsea);  and Brady, Riley and Bailey Shriver; granddaughters, Mia & Esme; brothers, Frank Popovich Jr. (Li); Ken Popovich (Paula); and sister, Susie Wolfhope (Chad); and mother and father in law, Dennis & Maryann Sabo. Bob was a beloved uncle to many nieces, nephews, and great-niece; as well as cousins, close West End friends, and pal, Steve. 1990 Graduate of Vo-Tech. He was a popular driving instructor for Brant’s Driving School, an avid poker player, golfer, and diehard Green Bay Packers fan. Bob was an organ donor and upon his passing gave the gift of sight to 2 people as well as skin grafts to burn and cancer patients. He was a loyal friend, great dad, devoting son and baby brother, cancer warrior, and loving husband that will be missed every day.  Until we meet again…HUGS7.
