Obituary

Gates, Robert C. “Bob”, 84, Johnstown, passed away April 8, 2026, at UPMC Mercy Hospital. Born April 25, 1941, to the late Warren and Cynthia “Cindy” Gates. Preceded in death by loving wife, Margaret Gates, and brother, Warren “Pudge” Gates. Survived by daughter, Amy Jo Gates; brother Richard “Dick” Gates; special grandchildren, Destiny Kasempiriyakorn wife of Kantapat; Christopher Norman; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and loving grandchildren. Bob retired from Ebensburg Center. He started his days with a hot cup of coffee and westerns on the TV. He enjoyed fishing and the first day of trout was like a holiday to him; but spending time with family was always most important. At Bob’s request there will be no viewing. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at 4 p.m. Sunday April 19^th at Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship Church.
