Obituary

Ronald E. Kuzmyak, 81, of Johnstown, PA, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Heritage Ridge Senior Living.

He was born on September 9, 1944, in Johnstown, to Joseph, Sr., and Margaret (Volocko) Kuzmyak.

Preceded in death by parents; brother, Joseph, Jr.; and nephew, Gregg.

Survived by loving wife of 50 years, Sharon Kuzmyak (Neff); loving daughter, Jennifer Ann, and husband, Ben Curtis; brothers, Alan and wife, Kathy, and Richard; niece and godchild, Robin Schrock and husband, Andrew; nephews Christopher and wife, Shannon, and Zachary and wife, Angela; and beloved fur babies, Aspen, Daisy Mae, and Penny.

Ron was a graduate of the Greater Johnstown High School He served in the Army National Guard. He began his working career at Bethlehem Steel as a millwright and then at Johnstown Wire Technologies. Ron was a devout member of Christ the Savior Cathedral.

Friends will be received from 3:00pm til 7:00pm on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Hindman Funeral Homes, 1521 Frankstown Road, Johnstown, PA 15902. Panachida will begin at 6:50pm.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Christ the Saviour Cathedral, 300 Garfield Street, Johnstown, PA 15906, with the Very Rev. Father Robert A. Buczak. Ronald will be entombed at Grandview Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Heritage Ridge Senior Living and the Penn Hospice staff for their kindness shown towards Ron.
