Forish, Ruth Elizabeth, Johnstown, passed away at Windber Hospice May 29, 2025, one day before her 81st birthday. Born May 30, 1944, to the late Andrew and Veronica “Minnie” (Carroll) Grech. Preceded in death by siblings, James Grech (Doris); Francis Grech (Saundra); Andrew Grech (Sandra); Mary Lou Blythe (Ben); Dorothy McCleary (Harry); Betty Campbell (Paul); Delores Grech; sister-in-law, Nellie Grech; and brother-in-law, George Pekich. Survived by loving husband of 60 years, Joseph Forish; children, Joseph A. Forish (Tammy); James Forish; Alan Forish (Melissa); grandchildren, Nicole, Joseph, Jacob (Holly), and Alyssa; siblings, William Grech; Eleanor Pekich; Evelyn Orlosky; Robert Grech (Judy); and beloved cat, Fancy. Ruth was an avid golfer and a Florida Snowbird. She once was the club champion at Pleasant Valley. Ruth was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
