Obituary

Kucera, Shirley A., 77, Johnstown, died February 11, 2016 at The Villa Personal Care Home.  Born April 23, 1938 in Johnstown; daughter of the late Andrew W. and Anna M. Kendera. Preceded in death by husband, Theodore F. Kucera.  Survived by son, Greg Kucera, married to Shirley, and their children, Cheyenne and Dalton, all of York, PA; daughter, Leslie Smoter, married to Craig, Johnstown; and their children, Sara, Cleveland and Megan, Pittsburgh; brother, Nicholas Kendera and wife, Joann, FL.  Shirley was a member of St. Benedict Parish.  She was a donor recruiter for The American Red Cross for 28 years.  She enjoyed reading, playing BINGO, and spending time with her grandchildren and neighbors.  Funeral service will be held Monday at 10 am at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc.  1521 Frankstown Rd.  Condolences may be made at HindmanFuneralHomes.com.  Thank you to the staff at The Villa and to Interim Hospice for all their great care.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Interim Hospice.
