Obituary

Melnick, Stephen G. Jr., 71, Hastings, passed away November 22, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 11, 1943 in Suffern, NY; son of the late Stephen G. and Catherine (Zaliznock) Melnick Sr. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Judith Ann (Seaborn); his children; son, Stephen Melnick III, Spring Valley, NY; son, Paul Melnick, Pamona, NY; daughter, Francine Ruppert and her husband, Gus, Monsey, NY; step daughter, Theresa Williams, Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Ryan, Candise, Justin, and Alexa; great granddaughter Natalie; his sister, Monica Downs, Orlando, FL; his aunts, Mary Melnick and Romaine Melnick, both of Hopewell Junction, NY.  Stephen worked as Operations Manager for Beckerle Lumber in Spring Valley, NY. He enjoyed hunting and woodworking and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Stephen really enjoyed his job, and considered the people at Beckerle as family not just co-workers. Friends and family will be received from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday,November 25th at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, 333 Beaver Street, Hastings, PA 16646.  A Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 26th at 11 a.m. at St. Lazarus Church, 1981 St. Lawrence Road, St. Lawrence, PA. Most Reverend Theodore Rematt, Celebrant.
