Woy – Sylvia D. 83, Oakland, died March 15, 2012. Born October 13, 1928 in Johnstown; daughter of the late Harry and Catherine (Barclay) Quarry.

Preceded in death by husband, Norman G. Woy; sisters, Shirl Schombert, Becky Morgart and Jackie Wasalewski, and brother, Sherwood Quarry, and her beloved dog, “Rocky”.

Survived by children, Jerry Woy, Ferndale; Rodger Woy and wife, Joann, Waynesboro;

Sandra Woy, Johnstown; Brian Woy Sr., Johnstown; Scott Woy, Morgantown, WV;

Harry Quarry, Richland; sister, Sheila Sabo, Johnstown;
grandson,

Brian Woy Jr. and fiance Jodi Wilson, Strongstown;

great grandchildren, Destiny Woy, Brian Woy III and Frank Woy,

step-grandchildren, Kenneth and Nayda Wilson; numerous cousins and her cat, “Stripey”.

She was a member of the Drama Club in High School and enjoyed ice skating and also cooking. She was an accomplished artist and a Sunday school teacher. Sylvia worked at Dairy Dell and Best Form Co.
