Obituary

Sanders, Thomas William “Bill,” 86, of Johnstown, passed away on November 6, 2025. Born September 27, 1939, he was the son of the late Theodore and Mary (Boring) Sanders. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years, Elizabeth (Delso) Sanders; brothers, Lester and Pete; sisters, Janet and Bonnie; and daughter-in-law, Ronda Sanders.

He is survived by his children, Thomas Jr. (Joelle) Sanders, Yvonne (Keith) Hollern, Robbin (Scott) Wilson, and Roberta (John Cascino); grandchildren, Ashley, Raeann, McKinley, Cameron, Kaylee, Somerlyn, and Johnny; great-grandchildren, Kendal, Adeline, Vivian, Miles, Wilson, Ian and Brayden; brother, Forest (Wade); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A proud union carpenter, Bill devoted many years to Carpenters Union Local 1419/423, where he served as financial secretary and took great pride in his craft. After retiring, he loved spending time at Locher Demolition with his brother-in-law, Ink, and nephews, Ronnie and Jamey—always happy to lend a hand.

Above all, Bill cherished time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles, and he had a special place in his heart for his faithful dog, Marlo.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 6:30 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes, 146 Chandler Ave., Johnstown, PA 15906. Pastor Nancy Hoover will officiate.
