Obituary

Leidy, Vera K., 95, Mineral Point, passed away June 5, 2023, at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 28, 1927, to the late Bert and Idonna (Farren) Readman. Preceded in death by first husband, Thomas B. Rose; second husband, Lewis B. Leidy; and brother, Donald Readman and wife Mary. Survived by sons, Terry Rose and wife Tina, and Kevin Rose. Vera was an elementary school teacher at Conemaugh Valley for 25 years. She was a proud member of AAUW (American Association of University Women) and Alpha Delta Kappa Education Sorority. Vera was an avid bowler and was still bowling at the age of 90. She was a member of St. John Vianney Church since the 1950’s, where a Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday June 13th at 11 a.m. Father Timothy Harris, T.O.R., officiating.
