Obituary

Cavallo, Victoria J. (Riva), 75, Hastings, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012, at HAIDA Manor surrounded by her family.

Born January 3, 1937, in Spangler; she was a daughter of the late David and Madge (Walkowiak) Riva.

Survived by her husband of 45 years, Michael R. Cavallo, whom she married September 19, 1966; children, Lisa (Dennis) Warner, Kevin “Hornet”, Karen (Ray Clossin) all of Hastings, Michael (Jackie), Northern Cambria, grandchildren, Karley Buckrop-Cavallo, Deanna Warner, Olivia, Zackary and Angelina Cavallo; sisters, Judith (William) Bott, Westover, Janice (Larry) McCracken, Johnstown, Claudia (Larry) Silverman, Newtown; brother, Daniel Riva, Ellicott City, MD; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Cavallo had worked for Bell Telephone in Barnesboro and Altoona as a switchboard operator. A member of the Fire Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed babysitting many local children over the years.

Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Hastings. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment St. Bernard Cemetery.
