Obituary

Miller, William A. “Bill”, 76, of Mineral Point, passed away July 13, 2024, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born December 2, 1947, son of the late Anna K. Miller. Preceded in death by his mother; and loving wife, Katherine (Ward). Survived by children, Mary Mazur (Ken), Pittsburgh; Bill Miller (Lauren), Pittsburgh; David Miller (Jennifer), Ebensburg; Dawn Miller, Dover, DE; and Kelly Schilling (Jeremy), Nanty Glo; 11 grandchildren, Anna, Kaitlyn, Ben, Kevin, Allison, Kari, Jason, Jeremy, Jase, Logan and Sawyer; 4 great-grandchildren, Emma, Norah, Teagan, and Lilah; brother-in-law, Jim Ward (Carol), Patton; as well as several nieces, nephews, beloved cousins, and other members of extended family. Bill married his high school sweetheart and enlisted in the US Navy, where he served our country in Vietnam as an Engineman aboard various ships and submarines. Bill epitomized the term family man. He devoted his life to taking care of his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family by working numerous labor-intensive jobs over the years to support those he held dear. There was nothing he wouldn’t do or give for his loved ones. Bill retired from PennDOT where he was employed as Equipment Manager and spent the next several years traveling with his wife, her brother, and sister-in-law. He deemed these as the best years of his life. He was adored by all who knew him. Bill will be truly missed and forever loved. At Bill’s request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Wounded Warriors.
