Obituary

Bowman, William K. Jr., 72, went to be with the Lord August 8, 2018 after a short illness.  Born February 27, 1946.  Son of the late William Sr. and Helen (Harclerode) Bowman.  Preceded in death by parents and sister, Kenalen.  Survived by son, William Bowman III; granddaughter, Brooklynn; sister, Carole Shingler; former wife and friend, Linda Smith Bowman; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Bill graduated from Johnstown Senior High School in 1964 and then graduated Oklahoma Flight School in 1969.  He went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree from Florida State Christian College.  He worked at Johnstown Airport Flight School as a flight instructor from 1969-1971 and then retired as a Captain for US Air in 1998.  Bill had many entrepreneur endeavors throughout his life but enjoyed becoming a skilled magician and presenting shows to children the most.  He will be deeply missed by family and friends.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements in care of the Hindman Funeral Homes, 1521 Frankstown Rd., “Exclusive Provider of Veterans and Family Memorial Care.” Condolences may be made at HindmanFuneralHomes.com
