Obituary

Stephens, William J. “Bill”, 55, Boswell, passed away August 4, 2024. Born July 24, 1969, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by father, William Stephens; and stepfather, William Geyer. Survived by mother, Nancy Geyer; stepmother, Joye Stephens; children, Ryan, Trevor, and Cassandra Stephens; brother of, Michael and Jessie Geyer; stepsister, Kelly Hornbecker (Doug); nephews, Liam Geyer; Brantley Williams; niece, Elli Geyer; close cousin, Bobby Stephens; numerous cousins; aunts, Marlene Smolen; and Jackie Cowan (Moe); and former wife, Tracy Stephens. Bill proudly and honorably served in the U.S. Army as an E-4 Specialist Combat Engineer. While serving in Germany, he was present for the falling of the Berlin Wall. Bill was the former owner of B-29 Tavern. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and found great peace at the Quemahoning Dam. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
