Obituary

Weakland, William S., 73, Hastings, passed away March 21, 2012 at Conemaugh Medical Center, surrounded by his family.

Born April 19, 1938, in Hastings, the son of Leo P. and Irene E. (Strassler) Weakland. He was preceded in death by parents and sister, Kathleen Simpson.

He is survived by children, Thomas of Hastings and Melissa of Utahville; brother, Kenneth (Janet Puleo) of Hastings.

Also survived by special cousin, Richard (Jake) Semelsberger, and friends Michael Kordish and David Sharp, whom he visited frequently. Nieces, nephews and many cousins also special to him.

Bill enjoyed shooting and visiting people. He also loved going to his daughter’s home, doing numerous projects there and palling with her pets Sheba, Hope and Shakey.

He worked in the steel mills and the construction trade.
Bill was a unique person. Whenever he was around, there was always laughter. He will be sadly missed by many people.
There will be no viewing.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
