LAVERICK, Alberta L., 89, Johnstown, died August 13, 2013 at Arbutus Park Manor.
Born July 22, 1924 in Ebensburg, daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Ludwig) Folckemer. Preceded in death by infant son, Barry, and brother, Wayne Folckemer. Survived by daughter, Sandra L., and husband Lawrence Malec, Johnstown; sons, Robert W. Laverick, Parker, PA, and David Laverick, Overland Park, KS; grandchildren Brian, Christine, Becky, Amy, Robert, Cory, Sarah, Russ, Kip, Scott and nineteen great grandchildren; brother, Dean Folckemer, FL. Alberta worked as a bookkeeper in Kansas. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church on Vine Street where she sang in the choir and attended Bible Study regularly. She enjoyed volunteering at Lee Hospital and quilting. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church, 426 Vine Street at 11am, Pastor Larry Rowe, officiating.
