Obituary

SMITH Danny A., 61, Summerhill, died March 16, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. Born November 4, 1950 in Johnstown, son of the late Paul J. and Meredith O. (McCreery) Smith. Preceded in death by sister, Beverly Lechene.

Survived by wife of 40 years, Denise C. (Zappernick), Summerhill; son Rob and wife Crystal, Northern Cambria, and daughter Michelle and friend, Rich, Johnstown; sister, Connie Cox, and husband, Sam, AZ.
Danny was a U.S. Marine Vietnam Veteran and a retired driver for Ritchey’s Trucking Co.

He loved animals, gardening, motors, and motorcycles. He will be missed by his family, friends, and granddogs, “Deacon”, “Brody” and “Kane”.

Dan willed his body to science. We greatly appreciate the staff of 8 Ashman for all the help, care, and love they have shown us. A memorial service will be determined at a later date.
