Obituary

John Joseph Krupa, 69 of Johnstown, died October 12, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center.

Born April 15, 1943 in Johnstown.

Preceded in death by his parents, Anna Tremko Krupa and Joseph John Krupa.

Survived by wife, Rita; sons, Jay Michael of Johnstown and John Theodore and wife, Julie Krupa of Altoona.

Grandchildren: Chad Curtis Michael and McKenzie Elyse Krupa of Johnstown, and Courtney Lynn and Abigail Elizabeth of Altoona, PA. Siblings: sisters, Mary Ritchey of Johnstown; Patricia Ann Alveraz of Sumpter, SC and Delores Inman of Johnstown and brothers, Frank Foster Krupa of Warren, PA; Edward Krupa of Johnstown; Eugene Krupa of St. Michael, PA and Michael Krupa of Johnstown.

Also survived by sister’s-in-law, Mary, married to Dr. Joel Borkow; Anna Catherine, married to Edward Sekerski and Theodora Mae Pappas and brother-in-law, Theodore James Pappas and numerous nieces and nephews.

John was born and raised in Johnstown and is a graduate of Johnstown High School in 1961, served in the Air Force from 1961 to 1963 and spent time in Vietnam. John later graduated from IBM Computer and Business School in Pittsburgh, PA. John worked in Bethlehem Steel in Johnstown and U.S. Airways until he retired several years ago.

John enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and grandchildren, was an avid golfer and a competitive racquetball player and cyclist. He enjoyed going to plays with his wife and family in Pittsburgh.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Friends are invited to a funeral service at 11am Monday at St Clement Catholic Church. Fr. William Rosenbaum, officiating.
