Obituary
Leffler, Robert B. “Bob,” 89, went to his heavenly home July 21, 2012 to join his beloved wife, Betty (Parks), who preceded him, Sept. 11, 2004. He was the youngest son born Aug.1, 1922 in Johnstown to Wesley and Goldie (Ribblet) Leffler. Preceding him in death was his brother, Eugene, and sisters, Margaret (Custer), Vivian (Ribblett), Rose (Rowe), Mildred (Weaver), and Lois (Zurich). He is survived by his son, Jack (Kathleen), Johnstown, daughter Gail (Michael) Mace, Eastlake, Ohio and three grandsons, who were his pride and joy, Aaron Leffler, Jeannette, PA. Joseph Castiglione, Lakewood, Ohio, and Michael Castiglione, Eastlake, Ohio. He is also survived by special “hiking” nephew, Tom Leffler, Johnstown. After serving in the US Army in WW II, he began his working career at Bethlehem Steel as part of the “power house gang ” until his retirement. He was a longtime member of Davidsville Community Church where he served as moderator and head usher. He also was a volunteer at Memorial Medical Center, where he could be seen transporting patients or directing visitors from one end of the campus to the other. He leaves behind many dear, caring friends and will be missed. At Bob’ s request there will be no visitation or memorial service. Private inurnment at Grandview Cemetery. The family requests that any contributions be made to the Presbyterian Home, 787 Goucher St. Johnstown, PA. 15905 in memory of Bob.
