Risko, Agnes T., 99, East Taylor, passed away October 6, 2021 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. Born April 18, 1922 in Nanty Glo. Daughter of the late Thaddeus and Agnes (Strapple) Casper. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Michael Risko; brothers, Charles, Lewis, and Theodore Casper; sisters, Elizabeth Darino, Stella Lee, Francis (Honey) Morales, and Grace Anderson. Survived by son, Michael C. Risko married to Connie (Rouzer); daughter Connie Katawczik married to Michael; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. Before 72 years of marriage to her devoted husband, she was an employee of Bestform Foundation. Agnes was an excellent baker and was well known for “sticky buns”, cookies, and pies. Spending time, especially holidays, with her family was her greatest pleasure. She also enjoyed dancing, shopping, and playing Bingo. Devoted to her community, she was an active member for 70 years in the East Taylor Volunteer Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary and a delegate to the Cambria County Ladies Auxiliary. Agnes was a former choir member in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in East Conemaugh. Dedicated to her faith, she has requested a funeral mass with no public viewing. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at SS. Gregory & Barnabas Church, 120 Boltz St., Johnstown, PA 15902. Memorial contributions may be made to the East Taylor Vol. Fire Dept.
