Ailce M. Anna, 92, of Hastings PA passed away peacefully in her home on April 5, 2023. She was the daughter of James and Rose (Gray) Miller of St. Benedict. Alice had various jobs in life but none she enjoyed more than being a Mom, Grandmother and loving Caregiver to the many children she babysat and guided throughout her years. She enjoyed puzzles, word games, and playing cards, and put many to shame playing the game Upwords. But most of all, Alice enjoyed being with her family, be it at home or on a family excursion. Time alone with Alice was a treasure as she’d share stories of earlier days that warmed your heart, made you laugh and clearly contributed to the person she became. She had a simple outlook on life which influenced those around her – take life one day at a time with optimism and gratitude. Alice had a smile for everyone. Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Anna who passed in 2005, daughter, Joyce Manfra, Hollidaysburg, who passed in 2022, son-in-law, Ray Glidden, Deering, NH who passed in 2002, as well as 11 loving siblings. She is survived by sons Ron Anna, Hastings, Paul Anna (Sandy) Chesapeake, VA, Greg Anna (Kathleen Campbell), Mansfield, Wayne Anna (Lisa Horne), Tipton; daughters Sandy Glidden, Deering, NH, Mary K. Serafin (Rick), Hastings; son-in-law, Greg Manfra, Hollidaysburg. She was Grandmother to Matt and Chris Anna, Josh, Jason and Jenna Serafin, and Ryan Campbell; and Great Grandmother to Liam and Aubrey Anna. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Alice was a member of St. Bernard parish. Family and friends will be received Monday April 10, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m., Easly-Hindman Funeral Home, 333 Beaver St., Hastings, PA 16646. Services will be held Tuesday April 11, 2023 at 11 a.m., St. Bernard Catholic Church, Fr. Thaddeus Rettger, OSB, celebrant. Viewing one hour prior at the church. Burial at St. Bernard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Lupus foundation of America at www.lupus.org.
