Thomas, Alvin H., 83, of Hastings, passed away January 5, 2021 at Embassy Hillsdale Park. He was born July 9, 1937 in Spangler, son of the late Alvin and Edna (Baker) Thomas. Alvin is preceded in death by parents; loving wife, Glenna Cowdery; and siblings, Clarence, Hilda, Amandus, Cletus, Anna Catherine, John, Elizabeth, and Gertrude. He is survived by his children, Douglas Thomas, of Mechanicsburg; Eric Thomas and wife Julie, of Carrolltown; Michelle Snyder and husband Karl, of Maryland; and Amy Lowery and husband Jason, of Kingwood, TX; grandchildren, Brynn, Ian, Hannah, Braden, Isabell, Ryder, Gavin, Bryson, Evan, Adisyn, and Cohen; and sister, Janet Keegan, of Pasadena, CA. Alvin was a member of St. Bernard’s Church and he served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed coaching baseball, traveling, going to the beach, calling bingo at the church, and church activities. Alvin loved his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. A viewing will be held January 8, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 8p.m. at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home (333 Beaver St., Hastings PA, 16646) and a funeral mass will be held January 9, 2021 at 11 a.m. with an hour of viewing beforehand at St. Bernard’s Church (147 7^th Ave., Hastings, PA, 16646).
