Bostock, Amos R.G., 77, Salix, passed away February 15, 2023, at his home. Born April 18, 1945, to the late Rowland and Anne (Updergraff) Bostock. Survived by loving wife, Rose Ann (Hayostek) Bostock; daughters, Sheila Miller; Andrea Vargo; Rebecca Patrick; sister, Alice Winegardner; brother, Rowland Bostock; grandchildren, Jessica Lamont; Richard Miller Jr.; Brett Miller; Ryan Miller; Andrew Vargo; Dorothy Patrick; great grandchildren, Brayden Lamont; Addelyn, Jocelyn, and Waylon Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. Amos attended Windber schools. After school he entered the Navy and served on the USS Wallace L. Lind DD703. He worked at U.S. and Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown and FreightCar America. Amos enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, and showing off his 1969 Dodge Super Bee. He also liked walking the mountain trails with his dog, Corkey. After retirement, Amos started making log house lamps which he then gave to family and friends. Family will receive friends Wednesday February 22nd from 1 p.m. until time of service at 4:30 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Windber Hospice, your church, or a charity of your choice.
