Sotak, Ann, 93, Johnstown, died March 21, 2017 at Atrium. Born March 29, 1923 in Johnstown; daughter of the late John and Anna Gallo. Preceded in death by loving husband, George to whom she was married 58 years; sisters, Mary Stoner, Sue Germek, Margaret Gallo, and Irene Robb and brother, Joseph Gallo. Survived by daughters, Georgianne Geeg Eash, married to Dan, Hooversville; and Debbie Sotak married, Windber; granddaughters, Cinde Eash Boyden, married to Edward, VA; Heide Joyce Eash, married to Garth Gerber, Pittsburgh; great-grandchildren, Emma Ann Boyden and Eli Daniel Boyden; brother, John Gallo, married to Mary Louise; sister, Yolanda Haywood; and brother in-law, Donald “Hank” Stoner, all of Johnstown. Also, numerous nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Betty, Pansy and Margaret Scott, Johnstown. Ann served her country during WWII in Washington D.C. and then in Johnstown for the Navy Dept. She was a lifelong member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Johnstown. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. 1521 Frankstown Rd. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1000 Scalp Ave., Johnstown, Pastors Scott Klimke and Julia Sprenkle, officiating. Committal Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorial donations be made to Atrium, A Choice Community.
