Hagens, Anna Margaret “Peggy”, 87, Ebensburg, was called peacefully to Heaven on Feb. 29, 2016. Born Sept. 19, 1928 in Nanty Glo, to the late Gerald and Clara (Orr) Brosius. Preceded in death by husband of 34 years, Clarence Hagens; special daughter, Cathy Ann Hagens, whom Peggy loved dearly; brothers, Gerald, Harold, and John Brosius; and special uncle, Chester Orr, whom she thought of as a brother. Survived by children, Rita (Hagens) Wolfe married to Bruce, Oklahoma City; Alan Hagens, Belsano, PA; Sandra, Georgia; Patti (Hagens) Ernst, Belsano, PA; sister, Ethel Lefebre, Beaver, PA; brother, Frank Brosius, Everett, PA; grandchildren, Eric and Adam Ernst; Tara Grove; Aaron Shroyer, all whom were very special to her; and numerous nieces and nephews. Peggy will be eternally remembered and missed by her children, grandchildren and the numerous friends and neighbors who knew and loved her. She had the utmost faith in the Lord and was devoted to reading the bible every day. When she was still able, she enjoyed sewing, crafting, cooking, and had a gift for drawing. Peggy also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, tending to her house plants and watching The Shepherd’s Chapel, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune. Peggy’s family would like to express their love, thanks, and gratitude to a very special person, Diane Pepka from Monroeville, whom Peggy loved and cherished like family and who provide aid and comfort to her in her hours of need. Friends will be received Mon. March 7 from 9-11 a.m. with a memorial service being held at 11 a.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., Rev. Geno Bartoletti officiating.
