Quist, Anna M., 90, of Hastings, passed away December 27, 2020 at UPMC Altoona. Born July 31, 1930; she was a daughter of the late Henry and Mae (Semendinger) Johnson. She is also preceded in death by loving husband, Carl R. Quist, whom she married June 10, 1948; children, Wayne Quist, Carla Sutton; siblings, Phillip and Dennis Johnson, Kate Neibauer; son-in-law, Isadore Blake; and her favorite uncle, John. She is survived by her children, Kathryn Kuskoski and husband John, of Bakerton; Barbara Golgosky and husband Dennis, of Ebensburg; Joseph Quist and wife Robin, of Hastings; Theodore Quist, of Hastings; Janice Baird and husband Kevin, of Blairsville; Mary Blake, of Patton; and Melissa Leaper and husband Eric, of Waynesboro; daughter-in-law, Charlene Quist; sister-in-law, Janet Quist Crace, brother-in-law, Jack Quist and wife Nancy; special niece, Cindy Stratton and husband Glenn; 25 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She graduated from Patton High School in 1947 and had several jobs over the years including making lightbulbs at Sylvania, Buckeye Pretzels and working at Ebensburg Center. Her family will remember her for being a homemaker, raising nine children and working on the family farm.   Anna Mary was a faithful parishioner of St. Boniface Church. She especially loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Hasting VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Hasting Moose, she was a former Cub Scout leader and 4H leader. In earlier years she enjoyed traveling with her friends, hunting with her family, building her house, gardening and in later years visits with family and friends.  Friends received 6 to 8 p.m. Friday January 1, 2021 at Easly-Hindman Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 333 Beaver Street Hastings. Funeral Mass will be held 11:00AM Saturday January 2, 2021, St. Bernard Church, Hasting. Viewing at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery, Hastings. The family would like to thank the staff at Senior Life, Ebensburg, she loved everyone there. Also Anna’s loving neighbors who picked up mail, visited and kept a watchful eye on her.
