Obituary

Hawk, Audrey, 79, Johnstown, went to sing with the angels April 3, 2016.  Born April 8, 1936, Johnstown.  Daughter of the late Andrew Ciupak and Mildred Metzger.  Also preceded in death by stepfather, T. T. Metzger Jr.  Survived by children, R. Mark Hawk, Johnstown, D. Scott Hawk (Sidney), Broomfiled, CO, and Chistine Surdyk (Arnold), Breckenridge, CO; grandchildren, Andrew Hawk, Casey (Hawk) Gayer (Chris), and Adam Hawk; and great grandson, Elliot Gayer.  A beautiful soprano voice was her gift, a gift she shared as often as she could, with everyone from banquets, competitions, church choirs across the city, and her 30 years with the Beth Sholom Temple.  She loved to be on stage anywhere!  She will be truly missed by her friends and acquaintances.   There will be no viewing at her request.  A simple service will be held at the convenience of the family.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Cambria County Humane Society in Audrey’s memory (http://www.hscc-online.org/).  Arrangements in care of Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 146 Chandler Ave., “Exclusive Provider of Veterans and Family Memorial Care.”  Condolences may be made at HindmanFuneralHomes.com
