Machik, Barbara F., 78, Johnstown, passed away January 15, 2023, at Select Specialty. Born August 20, 1944, to the late Edward and Mildred (Bender) Zierer. Preceded in death by husband, Stephen Machik; brother, Jerry Zierer; and sister, Dorothy (Zierer) Heider. Survived by children, Stephen Machik (Tiffany); Kristyn Palmer; Allison Machik; grandchildren, David Machik; Brianne Palmer; Anastasia Machik; Joshua Machik; and siblings, Carolyn, Charlotte, Edward, and Paul Zierer. Barbara enjoyed going to Bingo and hosting holidays and get togethers. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her fur grandchildren. Special thanks to Barbara’s nurses at Select Specialty, UPMC Home Health nurse, Linda, and physical therapist, Mike. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday January 19^th at St. Francis of Assisi. Conventual Franciscan Friars, officiating.
