Obituary

Podvojsky, Barbara M., 95, Johnstown, passed away January 22, 2022. Born July 16, 1926, to the late John and Mary (Szvoreny) Matejko. Preceded in death by husband, John; infant twins, Mark and Monica; and siblings, George, Mary, Julia “Connie”, Helen, Michael, and Anne. Survived by sons, Jonathan and Martin Podvojsky. Barbara was of the Byzantine Catholic faith and was always offering her love and best wishes to others. She loved her children and was an avid animal lover, especially of her cats. Barbara enjoyed performances by Shiva Skydriver band as well as attending events at V.O.M.A with her son, Martin. A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday February 1st at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. Burial to follow at St. Stephen’s Cemetery. Donations may be made in Barbara’s memory to Venue Of Merging Arts (V.O.M.A), Johnstown PA.
