Yoder, Barbara Marie, 67, Johnstown, died at home on January 10th, 2023. Born September 2nd, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio. Daughter of Wendell Lee Duncan and Cecelia Nelson-Krompholtz. Preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Erna “Ernie” (Leon) Yoder and Carolyn Sue Duncan; brothers, David Duncan and Dwight Duncan; and close friends, Donna Rager and Vivian Kirby. Survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Dwayne A. Yoder Sr.; daughter, Wendi C. Nagle (Zoran Kaltenbaugh); son, Dwayne “Scootch” (Vanessa) Yoder Jr.; grandsons, Cody A. Gill (Cassie Cummings), Mason J. Stoup, and Christian D. Yoder; granddaughters, Autumn E. Stoup, Autumn L. Nagle; great granddaughters, Calea Gill and Rein Nagle-Au; sister, Peggy (Ernie) Dipko; brother, Randy (Nancy) Duncan; sister-in-law, Joan (James) Adams; goddaughter, Misty Vuckovich; son-in-law, Jason Nagle; and close friends, Carol Hoffer and Barb Ferpas. Barbara was a lifetime member of the East Taylor Volunteer Fire Company and served her community as an emergency medical technician for over 25 years. She worked for West End Ambulance Service from 1989 until 2006 and later served on the board of directors. She was a member of the Pennsylvania Fire Police Association and a charter member of the Conemaugh Valley Ambulance Association. She worked at Lee Hospital for 10 years and finished her career at the Good Samaritan Nursing Care Center as an activities coordinator. Barbara loved spending time with her husband and family, and she was delighted to share her birthday with her newest grandson. Her hobbies included fishing trips, arts & crafts, traveling to Florida, genealogy, after school dinners with her grandkids, playing games on her computer, holidays, and family reunions. She was proud of her time as an EMT and often spoke of old friends and colleagues. Family and friends will be received Saturday from 11a.m. – 1 p.m. & 3 p.m. until the time of service at 5 p.m., Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., Johnstown, PA 15902, Pastor, Nancy Hoover officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to the East Taylor Volunteer Fire Company.
