Beryl Hindman Boerner, age 99 formerly of Lincoln, Nebraska passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at St. Andrews Health Campus, Batesville, Indiana with a heart too full to hold any more love. Beryl was described by all as warm, loving and caring. She made everyone she met feel special and loved. She was always positive and lived a Christian life to the fullest. The daughter of Matthew and Bertha (Weyandt) Hindman was born on June 1, 1918 in Windber, Pennsylvania. The Penn State graduate worked as a Registered Dietitian until she retired at 80, serving in administrative, clinical, teaching and consultant roles. In 1982, she was named Outstanding Dietitian of Nebraska by the Nebraska Dietetic Association. A Scholarship was created in her honor by the National Organization. She married William Henry Boerner in 1942 and he preceded her in death in 1989. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by her older sister, Ann Zahm. She is survived by her daughters, Jane (Eric) Foreman (Aiken SC), Elizabeth (Dean) Fleenor (Bluffton SC) and Susan (the late Raymond) Fortman ( Greensburg IN), her son William H. (Ellen) Boerner II (Virginia Beach VA), five grandchildren including and five great grandchildren; along with her younger sister, Marjorie Boone (Lock Haven PA.) In accordance with her family’s wishes, a memorial service will be held in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on her 100th Birthday. Memorials may be made to the Beryl Boerner Memorial Scholarship thru the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation or Eastridge Presbyterian Church in Lincoln NE.
