Malzi, Betty L., 86, Johnstown, died May 20, 2014 at home surrounded by family. Born August 1, 1927 in Johnstown; daughter of the late John Herman and Frieda (Horn) Goller. Preceded in death by sister, Audrey Berkebile. Survived by beloved and dedicated husband of 67 years, Leroy Malzi; children, Peggy Ann Bizjak, Charlotteville, VA; Cindy Amenti married to Larry, Johnstown; Dale John Malzi married to Glenda, Thaxton, VA; grandchildren, Corey Amenti married to Lori, Johnstown and Amanda Hearn married to Greg, Wilmington, DE; great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Kira Amenti and a soon to be great-grandson. Also, sister, Shirley Jean Babish married to Bill, and sister-in-law, Jane Horner, both of Johnstown. She was retired from Ribblet Bus Co. Member of Zion Lutheran Church, Daisytown and Cover Hill Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and an avid pinochle player. There will be no viewing at her request. Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Rev. Michael A. VanDyke, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the church.
