All of these she loved and cherished deeply. Carol was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved being a grandmother. Carol had an infectious personality, always made people laugh and her smile brightened even the darkest of days. She made friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed creating crafts, cake decorating, candy making, crocheting, knitting, quilting and wood working. Most of all, she loved football. Saturdays were reserved for her favorite college teams – Notre Dame, Pitt, Maryland and West Virginia and Sundays for the Steelers. As a member of Visitation Parish and formerly of Saint Joseph Parish family, Carol instilled in her children that God always came first in their lives. This didn’t just mean going to church on Sundays but to live as an active participant in all church services and functions. She led by example as a Benedictine Oblate, Eucharistic Minister, choir member and President of the Rosary Altar Society. For over twenty years, Carol influenced and contributed to the lives of the many students at Central Catholic Elementary School where she worked as the school secretary. Carol has touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Heaven has truly gained. Carol will be entombed in the Mausoleum in Saint Joseph Cemetery with a private service. Due to COVID restrictions at the time of death, services were delayed.
