O’Connell, Carol Lee, 80, Johnstown, passed away August 8, 2021, at Somerset Hospital. Born April 11, 1941, to the late Louis Levi and Hazel Evora (Bowman) Berkebile. Preceded in death by husband, Thomas O’Connell and sisters, Dora Lint (William) and Shirley Berkebile. Survived by children, Kent Thomas O’Connell; Wendy Lee (O’Connell) Messersmith (Jeffrey); Sean Michael O’Connell (Angela); grandchildren, Shane, Kayla, Thomas, Ian, Hope, Nolan, Erin, Sara, and Casie; great grandson due next month, Leo; and brothers, Larry Louis Berkebile (Althea); and Dennis Paul Berkebile (Diana). Carol was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and very involved in the women’s bible study. A special thanks to the women in Carol’s bible study for enriching her life, as well as all her family and friends for the love they shared with her. You were all truly a blessing in her life.
