Sloan, Carole Maureen, 79, Johnstown, died July 28, 2020 at Windber Hospice. Born March 23, 1941 to the late Charles and Dorothy (Miller) McIntosh. Preceded in death by husband, Paul; and brothers, Ronald, Donald, and James McIntosh. Survived by daughter, Dyan Sloan; grandsons, Jesse and Justyn Sloan; great granddaughter, Kaylynn Mae Sloan; siblings, Kenneth, Robert, and Patrick McIntosh; Betty Helsel; Diana Ivock (Joseph); Deborah Griffiths. Carole was a Human Resource manager at McQuaide’s for many years in the 1980’s and 90’s and then worked as an LPN at Arbutus Park Manor and Windber Hospital Wing 3. She loved everything Irish and was very proud of her Irish heritage. Carole enjoyed reading books, gardening, traveling and most of all, time spent with her family. She will be remembered for her strong conviction, honesty, selflessness, guidance, independence, quick wit, sense of humor and deep love and devotion to her daughter, grandsons and Kaylynn; her Tootles. She will be forever loved and deeply missed for the rest of our days. She was our gem and truly one of a kind. “I love you a bushel and a peck.” At Carole’s request there will be no services.
