Drummer, Charles L. (Chris, Charlie), 87, Sidman, passed away January 19, 2021 at Maple Winds. Born September 29, 1933 in Franklin, he was the son of the late George F. and Bertha E. (Miller) Drummer. Preceded in death by brother, James Drummer; and sister, Georgetta Eck. Survived by loving wife of 67 years, Claudia A. (Kingera) Drummer; sons, Stephen Drummer (Joanne) of Cleveland, OH, George Drummer (Kelly) of Aliquippa, PA, and Andrew Drummer (Melissa) of Portage, PA; sisters, Lillian Thiel (Harry), and Nellie Gustkey; grandchildren, Sandra Coffee (Michael) of Belle Vernon, PA, Craig Drummer (Jessica) of Davidsville, PA, Nickolas Drummer (Elizabeth) of Martindale, PA, and Branden Drummer of Aliquippa, PA; and great grandchildren, Jacob, Lydia, Caden, Landon, and Amelia. Charles proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a mechanist for US Steel and Gilmore Manufacturing. Charles was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, 121 Forest Hills Drive, Sidman, PA and requested that any contributions be sent there in his name. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He had a great passion for the outdoors and teaching his grandchildren all about nature and making maple syrup. He was an avid hunter & trapper, accomplished cabinet/furniture maker, wood carver, painter, and bowler. He enjoyed sharing his work with his family, extended family of nieces and nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 30th at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd., Johnstown, PA 15902.
