Selfridge, Christopher Jordan “CJ”, 21, passed away August 23, 2023. He entered this world on November 11, 2001, to Christopher A. and Janna (Holsopple) Selfridge. Preceded in death by grandparents, Harvey and LaRue Holsopple, and Pappy Sam Selfridge. Survived by loving parents; Granny Carol Smith; girlfriend, Sara Meyers; aunts, Deanna (Carl) Phillips, Denise (Ron) Ochenrider and Colleen (Doug) Garman; uncles, Justin Selfridge, Mark (Daniele) Holsopple, Scott (Lori) Selfridge; and cousins, Lynnea Phillips, Leah Phillips, Lauren Selfridge, Luke (April) Phillips, and Justin Ochenrider. CJ was a 2020 graduate of Conemaugh Valley High School, where he distinguished himself as captain of the hockey team. He played hockey for the Johnstown Warriors, Altoona Trackers, Mid-State Mustangs, and Indiana Chiefs, as well as for IUP and an adult league. CJ enjoyed his pet lizards, Cheerio, Cosmo, and Freeto and his hamster, Mango as well as the family dogs and cat. He was employed full-time at Walnut Medical Services and part-time at North Central Recreation Center.  CJ’s gentle and kind soul endeared him to staff and customers during his employment. He was quick to make people laugh and was loved by all. He has left a positive mark on numerous lives and will be deeply missed by family and friends.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29th from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. and 4 p.m.-8p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes, 1521 Frankstown Rd., where a service will be held, Wednesday, August 30th at 11a.m. Pastor Carl Phillips, officiating. Committal to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family to support future youth hockey players.
