Simon, Claire L., 89, Vinco, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family Aug. 7, 2016.  Born Feb. 19, 1927 to late John and Agnes (Ream) McGuirk.  Preceded in death by first husband Leo E. Christensen Jr.; second husband William J. Simon; brothers, Joseph and wife Mary; Leo; sister, Kathleen and husband Walt Rippin; brothers in law, Robert Moskal; and James Komara.  Survived by son, Edward L. Christensen and wife Chris; loving daughter and caregiver, Mary Claire wife of Jeffrey Frye; grandchildren, Bryan Christensen and wife Michelle; Nicole wife of Shawn Schoop; Heather wife of Brian Chose; Rachel Marcus and fiance Aaron Kovalchick; great grandchildren, Tyler Frye; Madison and Olivia Schoop; Nicolas Chose; brother Robert and wife Janet; sisters Donna Moskal and Evelyn Komara; sister-in-law Gloria McGuirk; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Claire was a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas and St. John Vianney Catholic Church.  She retired from the Westwood Riverside, Bakery Department.  Her hobbies included crocheting, quilting, coloring, and spending time with those she loved, especially her great grandchildren. A special thank you to Community Nursing and Windber Hospice for the care they gave Claire.  A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Fri. Aug. 12 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Mundys Corner.Very Rev. Andrew C.
