Zak, Daniel R., 82, Johnstown, died May 3, 2015. Born April 23, 1933 to the late John and Helen (Ivanic) Zak. Preceded in death by wife, Colleen E. Zak; son, Robert P. Zak; daughter in law, Susan Zak; sisters, Dorothy and Lucille Zak and brother, John Zak.  Survived by children, Daniel E. Zak, (Brenda), Mechanicsburg; Pamela Akens, Johnstown; Dr. Chris Hertzler, (Shelly), San Jose; Jeannie Roberts, Hummelstown; sisters, Margaret Gillan, Vinco; Ethel Waltoes, MD; grandchildren, Dustin Akens; Teresa, Jeremy, and Adam Zak; David, Kevin, and Kelsi Roberts; Heather Grove, (Darrin); and great-grandchildren, Jack, Josie, and Ben Winkelman. Daniel was a member of St. John Vianney. He was a retired steelworker from Bethlehem Steel. Daniel enjoyed gardening, doing wood work, and watching the Steelers. Friends will be received Thurs. May 7th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. Mass will be held Fri. May 8th at 10 a.m. at St. John Vianney Church, Very Rev. Andrew C. Stanko officiating. Committal at the church. Burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Jude’s.
