Darlene (Graham) Ashcom, of Tanneryville, passed away at home, surrounded by loved ones on January 23, 2023. Born July 17, 1959, to the late Ronald H. and Emma P. Graham. Darlene was married to Dwayne “PeeWee” Ashcom for 42 years, by whom she is survived. Also survived by her sisters, Wanda (Graham) married to Rick Gramling; Leola “Lee” (Graham) married to Charvel Hopper; brother, Ronald Graham married to Jackie (Lueck); along with several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and even great-great nieces and nephews. Darlene was a retired custodian of the Ferndale School District and was working as a Foster Grandma at the school before she passed. She was also an employee of GeeBee up until they closed. Darlene enjoyed spending time with her husband and family. She enjoyed motorcycle rides, reading, crocheting, and making plastic canvas to gift to her family and friends. She loved spending time with her kitties, who comforted her while she battled cancer. She was strong and determined to fight up until the day the Lord called her home. She is forever grateful to Dr. Sbeitan and her hospice nurses for their kindness and care. At Darlene’s request, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Summit Chapel United Methodist Church, 2142 William Penn Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist the family through Hindman Funeral Homes, 146 Chandler Ave., Johnstown, PA 15906.
