Hynes, Dennis J “Iggy”, 65, of Johnstown, passed away unexpectedly at home on November 6th, 2020. He was born on August 28, 1955 to Regis F. Hynes, Sr. and Anna (Krisko). Preceded in death by parents, wife Rochelle “Shelly” (Hribar) in 2009; and sister-in-law, Chris (Hribar) Hynes, brothers-in-law, William Zalesky, Felix Tomkosky and John Hribar also niece Cary Burgan. He is survived by siblings: Ann Claire Zalesky; Regis F. Jr. “Sonny” of Johnstown. Rita (Richard) Peshock, N. Huntingdon, Pa.; Mary Tomkosky of Raleigh, N. C.; Alicia/Alice (Foster) Garrison, Freedom, Pa and Terrence (Barbara) of Hanover, Pa. Also survived by sister-in-law, Janice (Ron) Solecki, Williamsport, Pa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and two great great nephews. 1973 graduate of Johnstown VoTech, and from Wilkes Barre campus of Penn State in 1975 with an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering. He was a former UMWA member and retired from Construction Laborers Union. There will be no viewing. Funeral mass will be at Resurrection Catholic Church on Friday November 13, 2020 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Conemaugh Twp., Pa.
