Gimza, Dennis, 68, Johnstown, passed away unexpectedly at home on Feb. 14, 2017. Born Jan. 7, 1949 to the late Stanley and Jean (Pugh) Gimza. Survived by brother, Barron Gimza and wife Nancy, Colorado; sister, Diana Gimza, Johnstown; niece, Amy Gimza; and nephew, Brad Gimza, both of Colorado. Dennis lived in Charleston, South Carolina until his retirement from the Federal Government in 2008. After retiring, he returned home to Johnstown, PA. Dennis was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a proficient reader and extremely talented artist, in which his paintings portrayed curiosity and adventure of life. Dennis will be remembered by his family, girlfriend, Merry L. Cook, and close friends. All services will be held privately.
