Conner, Dewey P. Jr., 94, Windber, passed away August 7, 2017. Born May 30, 1923 in Windber. Son of the late Helen (Shook) and Dewey Conner Sr. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Mary E. (Tantorno); son, Richard Conner; and brother, John Conner. Survived by daughters, Alicia Norris and Rebecca Strahan, both of SC; grandchildren, Shae Strahan and Erin Grimm; and 2 great grandchildren. Dewey was a WWII veteran, proudly serving our country in the U.S. Army, and later worked at Bethlehem Steel as a steel worker. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Windber and enjoyed playing cards at the Windber Senior Center. At the request of Dewey, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations can be made in Dewey’s memory to the Somerset County Humane Society at 204 Whitetail Rd, Somerset, PA 15501.
