It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Dina Lillian Knavel (nee Lillington) announces her peaceful passing at Windber Woods on Saturday August 14, 2021, at the age of 89. She was born in Port aux Basques, NL, Canada and was the daughter of the late George and Florence Lillington (nee Francis). Dina was preceded in death by her husband, James; sons, Michael and Richard; sisters, Carrie Ramsey; Edna Kendall; Phyllis Keeping; brothers-in-law, Percy Ramsey; David Kendall; James Kean; and sister-in-law, Jane Lillington. She is finally at peace and has gone to be with her family. She leaves to mourn with many found and precious memories, her sisters, Gertie Kean, Mount Pearl, NL; Loretta Osmond (Hughie), Port aux Basques, NL; brothers, Gordon Lillington (Betty), Port aux Basques, NL; George Lillington (Mrytle), St. John’s, NL; brother-in-law, Montford Keeping, Port aux Basques, NL; her four grandchildren, Trisha and Patrick Knavel; Tamar and Nathaniel Butler; and nieces, nephews, and a large circle of extended family and friends. Dina will always be remembered and deeply missed by her special friend, Judy Probert and by her loving niece, Cathy Leamon. Dina loved life and was a loving, caring, kind and compassionate woman who loved to walk, sew, crochet, knit, and travel when she could. She was a long-time member of the Salix Stitchers. Dina was loved by all who knew her. She had a beautiful soul and will now watch over us and fly with the angels. Cremation has taken place as per her wishes. FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS.
