Born March 3, 1934, to the late Domenic and Amelia (Letizia) Verbano; also preceded in death by loving wife, Amelia L. (Rizzo); brothers, Robert, Frank, Reynold, Eugene, Joseph, and Herman Verbano; sister, Mary M. Reitz. Survived by son, Chris (Cheri) Verbano and numerous nieces and nephews , great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Don proudly served our country in the Air Force during the Korean War and worked in the maintenance department at Hiram G. Andrews Center. Don was a lifelong member of St. Anthony’s Church and the Union Social Club. His passions included spending time with his friends, playing cards at Panera daily, listening to live music , meeting at Coney Island, and working the gate at AAABA games, where he left half the town in for free. Donnie was never found without a smile on his face or a joke on his tongue. He was the kindest, most compassionate and caring person that you would ever want to meet, whether you had known him for 80 years, or had just met him. His zest for life was matched by few. He was the best husband, Dad, and friend that anyone could ever wish for. He will be deeply missed by all.
