Obituary

Adams, Donald D., 82, Mineral Point, died Nov. 18, 2015 at his home. Born Feb. 20, 1933 to the late Johnathan E. and Lillie B. (Dull) Adams. Preceded in death by 10 siblings. Survived by siblings, Betty, Spurgeon, Iona, Beverley, Kenneth; adopted grandchildren, Maggie, Quenna, Bobbie Sue, Hayden; and numerous nieces and nephews. Donald was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Coast Guard. He played guitar for the Wranglers for 15 years, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was a member of the Johnstown Scuba Club. Donald hunted emeralds in the Carolinas, loved going camping, cooking and painting. He also loved driving around up North looking for wildlife, going to Duman Dam with his brother Spurg, riding his motorcycle, and dogs. Friends will be received Sat. Nov. 21 at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 1521 Frankstown Rd. from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m. Pastor David Lee, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Spurgeon to help with funeral expenses.
